A Wine Fueled Friendsgiving at a Paso Robles Vineyard Airbnb

In November of 2020 with the pandemic in its early months and none of our friends traveling to be with their families we improvised our own holiday plans and decided to do a Friendsgiving. We settled on Paso Robles as it is a nice in between spot between those coming from San Francisco and Los Angeles. Paso Robles is like Napa’s cooler younger sister. She doesn’t care as much about being seen, she’s just about solid wine in cozy vineyards. We found an amazing place to stay at the Villa Giada at Rava Estates, which is literally surrounded by vineyards and has a tasting room straight downstairs. The three bedroom suite is beautiful and Italian-inspired with rustic exterior. It’s frequently used as a bridal suite for weddings, but we found it just as lovely for our Friendsgiving, enjoying the indoor/outdoor fireplace and eating our turkey, starchy sides and all of the pies on the balcony under the string lights and sunset.
